All baboons have long dog-like muzzles, close-set eyes, heavy powerful jaws, thick fur except on their muzzle, a short tail and rough spots on their protruding hindquarters.

Baboons have a fearsome reputation, but it seems that the young baboons love to take taxi rides whenever they get the chance.

I recently read a book by Robert Sapolsky ‘A Primates Memoir’. It’s brilliant if you want to learn about baboons and Africa. Robert has spent over 20 years studying Baboon in the summer months in Africa.

Baboons are born into quite rigid hierarchies. So, some are luckier than others all their lives. Taxis though must surely be for everyone.
