One Collector's display

Richard has been a great fan of David Dancey-Wood's drawings over the years, and a long time customer of Wildlife Sketches.

Recently Richard was good enoguh to send me a couple of photo's of a few of the prints he has collected over the years, hanging in his home. I was very happy when he told me that I could share the images with everyone.

As you might notice, Richard is particularily fond of David's Cat drawings, and I think he now has almost every cat print that David has released over the years. Plus, not yet framed, David's latest cat print 'Golden Cat'.

Richard did actually pen a, hopefully, 'tongue in cheek' complaint to us recently, stating 'how unfair we we're to issue such a gorgeous print only five weeks from Christmas". Richard added; that 'His decision to buy David's latest print, meant he now has no choice but to buy his wife whatever she want's for Christmas too". I can see his point of view; I admit it, it was a little unfair, especially, to send him an email about it too!

So I appologise unreservedly for any inconvienice it might have caused Richard and too anyone else that suffered in the same way.

In my defence though, David drew it, I only promoted it. Sorry everyone.

Now, Golden Cat, been selling very well, and there are only a few left becuase it was a very limited edition run. (So hurry, you might still be able to get your hands on one if you act fast....)

Anyhow, I don't want to cause anymore distress so I'll just share Richard's photo's now...

And on the left: Or right of Mayan Monarch, Richard has hung another of David's most recent drawings, 'El Cid' an Iberian Lynx which I happen to know is an Artist's Proof. Photo Courtesy of Richard Proud 2025

It's always great to see David's work hanging proudly in a fan's home.

Merry Christmas Richard, hopefully your wife won't mind too much about the new print!

Thanks for the Blog Vince. I do indeed love collecting David’s Big Cat Art work and currently have 26 pieces for which I’m hoping to get all framed and rotate to create my own mini Art gallery. I’ve got a great fascination with Wild cats and once I crossed David’s work I fell in love. His Artwork is unbelievably detailed and true to life. I don’t think you can appreciate the detail until you get his pieces in front of you. The Mayan Monarch hangs proud as the centre piece in my living room and has been admired by all my friends and family. They all seem captivated my it’s eyes as if it can see through to your soul.…
